Dave ragan - lead master instructor
Ragan, 58 is from Orlando, and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1985. He was a member of the Lions golf team for four years while at Southeastern.
He earned membership to the PGA of America in 1988 while working at some of the finest Country Club's in the nation.
Most recently serving as Head Golf Professional at Deering Bay Yacht & Country Club. Prior to Deering Bay he served as the Membership Professional at Trump National Doral. Before Trump, Ragan held the Head Golf Professional position at La Gorce Country Club in Miami Beach.
Earlier in his career, Ragan served as the Assistant Golf Professional at River Oaks Country Club in Houston, working for Hall of Fame Teaching Professional, Dick Harmon. "Working under Dick Harmon was an invaluable experience for me," Ragan said. “Dick was regarded nationally as one of the finest golf instructors in the country, his ability to relate to his students in a positive manner is something I will always try to emulate."
Born into a golfing family Ragan's father, Dave Jr. a Daytona Beach native was a three-time PGA Tour winner and was also named to the PGA Ryder Cup Team in 1963. Also, his grandfather Carl Dann Jr. won the FSGA Amateur 5 times and was elected to the Florida Golf Hall of Fame in 2005.
Ragan also is an accomplished competitive player. He was named to the South Florida PGA's Nelson Cup teams from 2005-09, recognizing him as one of the top Club Professional Golfers in South Florida. Other awards include the 2009 Southern Chapter of the SFPGA, Player of the Year and the 2005 Merchandiser of the Year.
