Alan fort - Lead master instructor

Alan Fort has been involved with Jim McLean since 2001, bringing over 20 years of teaching experience at the highest level.  

Worked for 7 years as Master Instructor at the JMGS at Doral and now is serving as Lead Master Instructor and Co-Director of Instruction at the Miami Beach location.  

Alan has coached national teams, and has certifications in TPI, Smart2Move, Swing Catalyst 2, and Superspeed 3.  

Has extensive knowledge with Trackman, Biodynamics and Foresight.   

He has conducted golf teaching seminars in Spain, five times representing JMGS, and has also conducted several golf clinics in Mexico, Chile, Dominican Republic, USA, Ecuador.   

He is fluent in English and Spanish, has good communication skills, quickly picks up what the student needs, and has a simple way of explaining.  

Teaches players from all different levels, from beginners to professionals. 

Alan has been All-American, MVP and has participated in PGA Latin America. 

Played professionally / competitive golf for 25 years.  

Best score: 60 at the Gold Course at Doral. 

Some of his main accomplishments as an amateur player:

  1. All-American, and MVP at Lynn University

  2. Played in two World Cups in Vancouver, Canada and Paris, France.

  3. Played in three south American tournaments.

  4. Won over 50 tournaments

  5. Club Champion

  6. Peruvian National Champion

As Golf Professional Player

  1. Played for 6 years, South American Tour, TLS, mini tours

  2. Finished 7th at the Order of Merit at the South American Tour

  3. Won over 20 golf tournaments

As Golf Coach / Instructor

  1. Brand Ambassador for Titleist, FootJoy, and Audi Peru.

  2. Coach of the Peruvian National Teams for five years won: Copa Los Andes 2010, The South American Amateur 2014, and Juvenile South American Championships 2017. The last Peru won The Copa Los Andes Peru was in 1953, the South American Amateur for the first time ever in 2014, and the Juvenile South American Championships in 1984.

  3. Recognized by the Peruvian Congress for his outstanding work as the Peruvian National Team Coach 2022.

  4. Recognized by the Peruvian Institute of Sports (IPD) for outstanding work as coach 2015 and 2016. IPD is the maximum entity in sports in Peru.

  5. Led the Peruvian National Team to play the 2017 Toyota Junior Golf World Cup in Japan, for the first time ever.

  6. Director of instruction for the junior program at the three most prestigious golf clubs in Peru.

  7. Conducted several teaching seminars in Spain, and clinics in Dominican Republic, Chile, Mexico, Ecuador.

  8. Low round 60, Doral, Miami Gold Course 2007.
